Who's that girl?

Agnes lärare i första klass heter Ms. Schmidli.

It could be that it's because she has already moved several times in her life, but I believe that Agnes would have been the open-minded and contact-seeking girl she is, adapting eagerly to changing circumstances, even if she had lived her whole life in one place. She now speaks three languages (Swedish from her home country, Spanish from living in Guatemala, and English from "here"), and she has no trouble telling people she has known for less than five minutes the story of her life in either language. Whether they asked to hear it or not... This doesn't rule out bouts of shyness when Agnes has some doubt about her own capacity. She often seeks mastery, and is fiercely proud when achieving what she sets out to learn or achieve. Whistle, snap her fingers or do some fancy dance move (she's really good at all three of these). She is talkative, yes, but can also be a dreamer at times. Perhaps it's just that a little artist's mind needs to be nurtured by the occasional absent contemplation.
